PMC-I

PMC-I is a system to control up to seven simultaneous axis. Each axis is represented by a power amplifier for a step motor (SM-LV), with a dedicated CPU for each SM-LV. These step motors (SM) will be used to command the H+L linear amplifiers, generating the high force position/speed control for the machine.
Commands are received over the Profibus, with the PMC-I acting as a profibus slave. The number of slave modules is corresponding to the configured number of axis modules. The profibus connection is made up by a CPU card and a dedicated profibus interface board.
